Chuck Coleman

Born in the USA   6'2" tall   200 lbs.


National Honor Society (high school).  Bachelor's degree in Business, Math minor.  Teaching credential, High School Mathematics.  Master's degree, Physical Education.  USPTA certification (Professional 2), Modern Tennis Coaches certification (Level 3).

Coaching and Teaching:

Five years college tennis coaching, three years as head coach.  Ten years in high school teaching, primarily substituting in Math, PE, French, English, Special needs, and other subjects.  Approximately 12 summers tennis teaching.  Currently helping out as one of the top responders on the Yahoo! Answers web site for tennis questions.

Athletic Highlights:
Before starting tennis at age 13, played 4-5 years of basketball and baseball, including pitching for two championship teams.  Worked up the singles ladder in high school and college.  Local club champion at age 17.  Played in NAIA's national men's singles tournament, where his school's team was runner-up.   Sectional 1980 ranking, #6 in Class A (one step below "Open," about 6.0 in the NTRP system) .  Played one satellite circuit.
