Sam Chadwell

MTM and USPTA certified pro Sam Chadwell taught his first summer tennis camp as a volunteer for the Bay City Parks and Recreation back in 1980.  He found working with young people in a tennis setting such a fun and rewarding experience that he continued teaching tennis throughout his college career. He eventually became a certified teaching professional, which has led to an amazing career taking him all over the world as a professional tennis coach and club manager.

Over the years he has introduced tennis to thousands of players, young and old. 2015 marked his 35th consecutive year of running a summer tennis camp program.   Sam has also been very involved with Home School Tennis programs in the Houston area.

In August, 2010 Sam hosted a 3-day "Play Like The Pros" Tennis clinic with Oscar Wegner at the Columbia Lakes Country Club where Sam was Director of Tennis. The event produced capacity attendance and gave Sam the opportunity to work intensively side-by-side with Oscar.

After living most of his life along the Texas Gulf Coast, Sam has relocated to the Hill Country and settled his family in the charming little German town of New Braunfels, Texas. Sam lived in New Braunfels back in 1988 and 1989 when he was just getting started in his pro tennis career, employed as staff tennis professional at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch. Nowadays Sam plans on teaching tennis lessons out of NEISD Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio, and is still available for private lessons on selected weekends in Brazoria County and around the greater Houston area by appointment.
