Da-lai has held the titles of Club Owner, Club Partner, CEO, Head Coach, Director of Player Management, Tennis Director, Tournament Director, and Head Tennis Professional. His expertise includes experience coaching top professionals at Grand Slam Events, such as the US Open; collegiate players at the NCAA Division I Championships; and junior players at Super-National Events and Intersectional Team Championships.

 

A native of New York City, Wu played tennis at Bridgeport from 1976 to 1979. He later competed internationally on the ITF and USTA Pro Circuit, then with the Chinese National Team as a player/coach, and in 1987, was a member of China's Davis Cup team as a practice partner.

 

Da-Lai provide comprehensive assistance to junior players with the college admission process; specifically, consulting with parents to evaluate which program and school may be best for the student-athlete, and, through long-term relationships with respective college coaches, determine the player's potential fit.

 

Highlights:

*Managed and coached a player competing in the US Open for seven straight years, from 1994-2001.
*Coached players from the Chinese National, Davis Cup, and Federation Cup Teams at USTA Professional Circuit, ATP Tour, and Grand Slam Events.
*Was nationally ranked Top Ten while representing China in ITF/USTA Pro Circuit Events and was a member of the 1987 Chinese Davis Cup Team.
*Led Fairleigh Dickinson University to a fourth consecutive NEC Championship and the university’s first and only NCAA Division I National Men’s Tennis Championship appearance at that time.
*Led numerous NCAA Division I, II, and III teams who all maintained the highest GPA in their respective athletic departments, with a majority of students received academic scholarships.
*Recruited and placed players with both Davis Cup and pro tour experience.
*Awarded the 2007 USTA/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Community Service Award – Eastern Section.
*U.S. Open Junior Championships 1985: People’s Republic of China Boy’s & Girl’s National Junior Team Head Coach.
*U.S.T.A. Boy’s 14’s/16’s and Girl’s 14’s/16’s/18's National Intersectional Team Championships 1989: Eastern Section Head Coach.
*Managed and coached numerous "End of the Year" #1 ranked Boy's 16's and 18's, Eastern Section.
