Kaz Yamanoha



Kaz Yamanoha adds MTMCA to his USPTA and USRSA certifications. He manages the Hi-Performance Tennis program at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch in Maui.  This program is designed specifically for tournament players pursuing sectional and/or national rankings.  Traveling extensively throughout his tennis career, Kaz brings over 25 years of professional tennis teaching experience to the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch. 

For 15 years Kaz was Tennis Director/Head Pro at neighboring Kapalua.  In each of those years except one, Kapalua Tennis Club earned TENNIS MAGAZINE’s annual “America’s Top 50 Tennis Resorts” award.  He has worked and trained with John Newcombe at the South Pacific Tennis Ranch and with Peter Burwash International. He also taught tennis at the Fijian Resort Hotel, Regent of Fiji and Kauai’s Coco Palms Resort.

In the past seven years, four of his USTA Adult League teams have advanced to the National Championships in Palm Springs, CA.  He is a former Fijian National Open Doubles Champion. 

Kaz is fluent in conversational Japanese.  He holds the rank of “Sho-dan” in the Japanese martial art of Judo.  He is a former Professional Golf Association (PGA) apprentice pro and taught golf professionally from 1995 to 2000.  He has been a licensed massage therapist since 1996.
